GP2-funded opportunity: Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Neurogenetics at UCL

Research Fellow or Senior Research Fellow in Neurogenetics – Global Parkinson’s Genetics Program

Grade: UCL Grade 7 or 8, UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology, Clinical and Movement Neurosciences
Location: Queen Square House, Queen Square

This is an outstanding opportunity for a neurogeneticist/data scientist to work in the Global Parkinson’s Genetics Program (GP2) based at the UCL Queen Square Insitute of Neurology. The overall project is lead by Dr. Andrew Singleton, at the National Institutes of Health with multiple global study centers.

The project will involve coordinating collaboration across multiple sites, and supervising the collation and analysis of clinical and genetic data from 100,000 study participants, as part of a collaborative team. The successful applicant will be skilled at project management and will be able to coordinate clinical, lab, and data management activities. The initial iterations of data analysis for our group will involve genotype-phenotype correlation looking for genetic determinants of progression, drug response, and cognitive impairment.

The post holder will be a post-doctoral scientist with a broad scientific background and insight into genetics and the biology of neurodegeneration.

The appointee will have the opportunity to work in close collaboration with scientists at UCL, collaborating sites around the world, and the Laboratory of Neurogenetics, National Institutes of Health, USA.
